Daily K-2 Storytime with Mrs. Hastings - Media Specialist

All students in K-5 can read grade level appropriate books and take AR-Accelerated Reader Quizzes too! 

Students are ROCKING AR-Accelerated Reader Quizzes by going to their LaunchPad students Id and ID Number as your password 4 Digit Year, Month, and Day (Include a zero if you month and day is a single digit)

Welcome to Tangelo Park Elementary School Library Media Center. Our hours are 8:15am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday. Please feel free to visit the media center. We have all kinds of materials available to use: Reference Sources, Biographies, Fiction, Non-Fiction, Magazines and Maps. We are always looking to add great books to our collection. If you have a book you would like to suggest please let us know!

Volunteers are always welcome here at the media center. We invite you to become a volunteer through our ADDitions School Volunteer Program. Volunteers may contact the media specialist to set up times and dates to come in and help. Some activities volunteers help with are: shelving books, creating displays, helping with bulletin boards and reading stories.

Florida Reading Association

Every year the Florida Reading Association invites students in grades Kindergarten through second grade to participate in voting for Florida Children's Book Award. Students will hear the stories at the media center and vote for their favorite in April. The winner will be announced by the end of the school year.

Sunshine State Book Program

The Sunshine State Young Readers Award program is a statewide program for students in Third through Fifth grade to participate in. Students must read three of the Sunshine State books in order to be eligible to vote in April.
